Question # 1 of the day: What’s the best compliment you ever received? Marshall Williams and Mark Huffman shared with the group.
Question #2 of the day: What would you present in 40 minutes, without preparation? Armen Kevorkian, Rhoda Linton, Kristi Shuck, Alana Reyes, Armen Kevorkian (2nd topic discussion for a 40-minute presentation), Karl Sheiffele, Ondrell Girtley, and Dean Dunbar participated.
Question #3 of the day: What are you most looking forward to in the next 10 years? Jennifer Jones, Kristi Shuck, Karl Sheiffele, Alana Reyes, Mike Fahey and Rhoda Linton discussed.

Members were reminded to make a purchases from the menu, including orders to go, as set forth by the facility requirements.
Business topic discussion: Ondrell outlined for the chapter the differences between Member Referral vs. Leads, in a Christ-centered environment:
Referral Definition: Recommendation for new business from someone you know, in the forms of verbal; written, or electronic.
Triangle of three people: the business owner, client, and the person referring.
Philosophy is to give referrals, more than to receive, as in the giving, it comes back to us, as in the biblical philosophy of Luke 6:38.
Requirements: Email address and phone number
Best Practice: Don’t give a referral without knowing the person’s service or products; complete on the business forms or website; follow-up within 24 hours of receiving referral; communicate frequently with what is a good referral for your business for the group to better understand your product and services.

Ondrell discussed the chapter’s overall purpose and summarized its activity, including: the chapter goal, to sustain longevity; March 6th was the 1st chapter meeting; foundations of getting to know each other; referral basis, built on relationships; one-on-one meetings encouraged for relationship building; and follow up regarding last weeks training for signing up as a member on the CBP316.com website.

Business Workshop: Members and guests paired up and conducted a reverse 30-second business interview, to represent and know how the other business member’s 30-second business presentation is conducted. Mark Huffman presented Dean Dunbar’s business; Ondrell Girtley presented Alana Reyes’ business; Alana Reyes presented Ondrell Girtley’s business; Marshall Williams presented Kristi Shuck’s business; Derek Finks presented Chris Jorge’s business; and Dean Dunbar presented Mark Huffman’s business.
Business testimonies and referrals were shared and discussed amongst the group, including Paul Avila; Ondrell Girtley; Shannon Gilbert; Rhoda Linton; and Alana Reyes.

Members and guests paired up with each other with someone they didn’t know. Various questions were asked, in order to complete each sentence. The goal of the exercise was to meet someone new, and to build new business relationships. Question of the Day: Ondrell asked if you could have chosen your name, what would it be? Guest had an opportunity to share their thoughts and Ondrell stressed the importance of getting to know each other’s names.

Members from surrounding Chapters came out and supported our official Chapter Kick-Off, including our Regional Director, Saundra Marie Ramirez from Chino-Trinity; Tammy Thimgan and Kathi Barnes of Yucaipa/Calimesa-Cornerstone; Loretta Szudy of Chino Hills- Son Rising; Claudia Cooley and Dale Cooley of Redlands-Elite; and Frank Pere of Whittier- Perfect Peace.
Pastor Doug Wilson discussed Christian Business Partners Ministry and his testimony regarding the leading of the Lord, in the formation of the Ministry. He further shared his vision and passion, of Christian business people working together, in the referral and giving of business, to each other. He concluded by encouraging us that God is in control, despite the difficulties we face.
Tithe: Frank Perez and Pastor Doug Wilson announced Text to Give for tithing to the ministry, which can be made at: 909-316-1232. All it takes, is a one time set up, and you can enter any dollar amount, when tithing.
Ondrell discussed the Christian Business partners Website: CBP316.com and the purpose of the ministry, in the overall giving of business, as we come alongside each other. He further discussed for the Chapter to come up with a name, something along the lines of giver or giving. Luke 6:38 was referenced.
Business Referral/Testimony: Guests were given an opportunity to share about business referrals and testimonies.
